• Perhaps the most surprising, and thus most photographed aspect of the park is its hilltop pond, with shaded benches and spendid views of downtown Los Angeles' skyline as well as across the Arroyo Seco through Highland Park and Eagle Rock

• Any night at dusk you're likely to run into many people out enjoying the day's close in this tranquil setting. Here hikers, dog walkers, and even a group of kids midway through a game of Risk sitting at the ponds edge all enjoy a spectacular spring sunset
