We're just off the Arroyo Seco Parkway (Pasadena 110 Freeway), between South Pasadena, Highland Park, and downtown Los Angeles, in the "Hermon" district (sometimes known as "Happy Valley" for reasons unknown). See Local Parks & Points of Interest below.
There's ample curb-side street parking along Monterey Road and throughout the neighborhood (please, if arriving in the wee morning hours or late at night, be respectful of our neighbors by keeping the noise down and by not blocking driveways).
The Highland Park Goldline Station is one block north of North Figueroa St on Marmion Way, sandwiched between N. Avenue 59 and N. Avenue 57. We're just over 1 mile away (1.1 miles according to Google).
South Pasadena's Mission St. Station is one of... no, its the most beautiful and quaint of all MTA's Metro stops. The station's the location of the weekly SoPas Farmer's Market (Thursday afternoons until 7) and the site of a small museum -- itself quirky in proudly boostering of South Pasadena's history as the site of Cawston's Ostrich Farm where visitors once enjoyed riding buggies pulled by... yup, ostriches. Go figure. Anyway...
Take the station's south platform exit onto El Centro St & Glendon Way (if you find yourself on Mission St. just walk around the short block past the French bistro and great nursery backing the train tracks).
This route is 2.1 miles (again according to Google).
Natural beauty abounds, and we've plenty of natural parks and trails, plus developed facilities like bbq and picnic areas, tennis courts, playgrounds. (See also: our neighborhood information page)
Our pastry shelf is stocked daily with muffins, cakes, granolas, cookies, and pastries that satisfy our expert panel of tasters: our kids.
Never too sugary-sweet, with just-baked freshness you'll enjoy your coffee doubly with one of these morsels! And ask anyone about our coffee cake -- it has 'em lining up at the door.
